Sam Rainsy lost the opportunity to return home again because he did not know how to create opportunities

Washington DC: The Prime Minister of Cambodia, Hun Sen, said that Mr. Sam Rainsy did not know how to manage opportunities and create for the benefit, he revealed this during his brother passing, the Prime Minister would welcomed the condolences from everyone, even Mr. Sam Rainsy.

In a meeting with a Cambodian-American social media commentator living in the United States in Washington on May 11, Prime Minister Hun Sen revealed that he could have been kind to Sam Rainsy if he had created opportunities for himself. .

In a video that Mak Hoeun posted on his personal Facebook page, PM said: “Rainsy losing opportunities, during the time that I lost my brother, if he sent me a condolence letter it would have push me to the edge. He couldn't even manage the opportunity, it’s not hard to write a letter, it would have push me into a difficult situation. Now I should thank Rainsy, if [sends a letter of condolence] i do not accept, I can not accept, I have to owe an answer to the local supporters, will say that my boss [Rainsy] will return home because the Prime Minister has already answered. This guy doesn't know how to do politics.”

Sam Rainsy, who was convicted by a Cambodian court in countless cases, has been living abroad for more than seven years, since the end of 2015.

Political analyst Seng Sary believes that the revelations from Prime Minister seem to indicate that he intends to stop political issues and that Sam Rainsy still has political weight to be in competition with him.

He said: "Depending on this message! The Prime Minister seemed to shake Kem Sokha's hand because before leaving for the United States, there was a four-hour meeting, but according to this message, the meeting between Samdech Techo and Kem Sokha was not useful at all. On the other hand, we see that Mr. Kem Sokha has no weight or political weight in the negotiations and is not valued by Samdech Hun Sen as a party to the negotiations to end the problem in Cambodia.”

For Social commentator, Dr. Meas Nee believes that it is not possible to conclude just by the revelation of the Prime Minister now, but he supports the consensus between Cambodian politicians, should leave politics aside. To show the same spirit and condolences as Cambodians. He observed that from the previous point of view, PM Hun Sen always has a response when there is condolences to him for the loss of family members.

"Sending a message of condolence that could be a political solution seems too early for such a conclusion," he said. But if we look at the past when there is a message of condolence, almost everything is a response from the Samdach, look like it never misses when there is a message of condolence. At least he sent a private message of thanks.”

Hun Neng, the brother of PM, passed away at the age of 72 at about 6:25 pm on May 5, 2022 due to a heart attack. After receiving this news, the former leader of the opposition party, Mr. Kem Sokha, sent a message of condolences to Prime Minister Hun Sen and wished for the soul of Hun Neng to go to the heaven.

After receiving a message of condolence from Mr. Kem Sokha on the night of May 5, 2022, Pm Hun Sen sent a reply message to Mr. Kem Sokha thanked for the message of condolence. In addition, he also received permission and meet with Mr. Kem Sokha in person at the house of his brother.

In July 2013, Mr. Sam Rainsy, who was then in exile abroad, sent a message of condolences to PM Hun Sen when his father Hun Neang pass aways. At that time, PM asked the King to pardon Sam Rainsy as well.
