PM Hun Sen Tells People Not to Compare Their Children with Other People's Children

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen has told citizens not to use the method of comparing their children with other children to boost their efforts, as this will affect the children's mental and emotional health.

Speaking at a meeting with grade A students on Tuesday morning (3 May, 2022), the Prime Minister urged parents to "encourage" their children instead of using comparisons, adding that this method of comparison should not be used even between children in the same family.

"This is one of the solutions to solving your child's emotional problems," he said.

The Prime Minister stressed that parents need to know how to teach their children and know how to make their children learn more. He said he used the method of encouragement to train his children to get good results, and added that he also tells his children to use this method to train his grandchildren.
