PHNOM PENH: The Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Permanent Security Command for the Election, Deputy Prime Minister Sar Kheng, has said that ensuring the involvement of the people at all times in any election is the duty of the Permanent Security Command for the Election, in order to strengthen the rule of law in accordance with the principles of democracy.

Speaking at the meeting to disseminate the inter-institutional plan on the protection of the annual voter registration and national-sub-national elections from 2022-2024 on Friday morning, DPM Sar Kheng said that the Permanent Security Command for the Election was established by a Royal Government sub-decree to fulfill its role of ensuring security for election work, at both the national and sub-national levels, with a secretariat.
