Dortmund Played Dynamo Kyiv In Fund-Raising Friendly

INTERNATIONAL: Dortmund striker Erling Haaland got the ball rolling on Tuesday 26th April as his team faced off against Dynamo Kyiv for a charity match to raise money for Ukraine.

According to the Bundesliga website the game raised around 40,000 euros in support of the victims of the war.

The Ukrainian team is touring Europe where they are raising money and keeping the focus on the ongoing Russian invasion of their country.

"This is the way how we can support our country so we know that all the money from the selling of tickets will go to Ukrainian government, Ukrainian people, so I came from Berlin to support my country as well," said Daniel Bedrain from Kyiv.

Katherina Sheelk also from Kyiv, said: "It is a very, very strange feeling to be here and trying to live normal life when in my country is war. Well, I want to support my team from Ukraine and to support my people."
