PHNOM PENH: Celebrating nearly 10years of Operations, the CPU held its 2022 AGM yesterday. The achievements, dedication and successes of all the staff were praised. Special mention was made of the outstanding work of members of the Battambang Office with numerous commendations being presented. An amazing group of people doing some extremely difficult work.
The Child Protection Unit - a joint initiative between CCF and the Cambodian National Police is working to bring child abusers to justice and protect those who cannot protect themselves. Crimes against children including homicide, sexual assault, child trafficking and all forms of abuse require a specialized and coordinated response from investigative and support agencies.
The Child Protection Unit is a unique undertaking, partnering experienced Western police investigators with the Cambodian National Police to investigate the most egregious cases of child abuse that are often beyond the resources of local police departments.
In overall it’s an amazing organization that has fantastic results. With an Arrest Rate - conducting in excess of 1,350 Investigations, leading to 1,140 arrests, conducting in excess of 1,350 Investigations, leading to 1,140 arrests.
