PM Orders Labor Minister to Launch Factory Vaccination Campaign

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen has ordered the Minister of Labor, Ith Sam Heng, to work with the relevant authorities to establish a factory vaccination campaign to strengthen the community’s collective immune system. He made this order while speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the achievements made in the Flood Protection Project in Phnom Penh on Wednesday morning (20 April).

During his speech, the Prime Minister encouraged everyone to get their booster shots, especially factory workers and informal economy workers who are at high risk of contracting Covid-19. He further ordered Minister Ith Sam Heng to organize a factory vaccination campaign which would allow workers to take a day off to get their vaccine.

So far, more than 14 million people in Cambodia have received their base doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, while more than 8 million people have received their third dose, and more than 1.2 million people have received their fourth dose.
