Banteay Meanchey police are pursuing a man after beating his wife to death in a rice hut

Banteay Meanchey: Authorities in Banteay Meanchey province are searching for a 32-year-old man named Chheak Dos, who is suspected of killing his wife in a rice hut in Banteay Chhmar commune, Thmor Puok district, Banteay Meanchey province, at 2 am on 17th April 2022.

According to the local police, the victim's wife, Yong Ty, 31, a resident of Pring Kong village, Bosbov commune, Serey Sophorn city, Banteay Meanchey province was beaten to death on a haystack and her body was found at 3 p.m. 18 April 2022.

The victim's father, Yuan Yong, 51 said the victim and the suspect are married and had come to stay at his farm hut at the scene to prepare to work in Thailand.

Currently, the authorities are inspecting and conducting an autopsy at the scene and searching for the suspect to be arrested and trialed according to law.
