PM commitment to protect peace is because doesn't want to see the next generation meet the bad destiny

Sihanoukville: The Prime Minister of Cambodia, Hun Sen, said that he was determined to maintain peace for Cambodia because he decided not to see the next generation of young people meet the same bed destiny like him in the pass.

Speaking at the inauguration of the statue of Preah Thong Neang Neak in Sihanoukville on the morning of April 16, 2022, He recalled the history of the loss of one eye of him on April 16, 1975, that is It is a tragedy of war that has made young people like him suffer like this.

"On the occasion that I have the opportunity to lead my country, I am determined to lead this country in a peaceful way," he said. "I want to see peace for the people. I do not want to see young people or children have the same fate as I, who became a victim of the war."

He say he does not want anyone to destroy the peace of this country, because the ability to return to celebrate the traditional Khmer New Year and the progress of Cambodia is due to peace.

The Prime Minister highly valued peace and said, "Do not wait for war to break out to find peace."
