PM: Taiwan is an island of China

Siem Reap: Prime Minister Hun Sen said that Taiwan and mainland China are one territory, with Taiwan being one of China's territories.

During a visit and a greeting with construction workers at the Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport in Sonikom district, Siem Reap province, on the morning of 3 April 2022, when asked about the Chinese translator's ability to speak Chinese. He replied that he used to studied in Taiwan.

Then PM said: "Taiwan and mainland China are one land, It's just (Taiwan) is a province of China."

Cambodia has a one-China policy, which means not recognizing Taiwan as a country, just an island of the People's Republic of China.
