Prime Minister Cites Ukraine as an Example of the Value of Peace

PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen of Cambodia recalled the value of peace, which provided survival, development, and prosperity, as Cambodia valued peace before democracy and human rights. The Prime Minister gave the current situation in Ukraine as an example for the value of peace.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the Choam Chao flyover and tunnel this morning, 31 March 2022, Prime Minister Hun Sen said that the world is now shouting for peace and defending peace more than ever due to the effects of the Russia-Ukraine War and the potential World War III.

He added that in addition to the crisis of peace, Europe is also facing the problem of displacement of refugees and racism.

Prime Minister said, "It is not certain that when people talk about do not discriminate, they also talk about democracy and human rights."

Prime Minister reaffirmed that he will continue to protect the peace that Cambodia has achieved so hard for the prosperity and peace of the people.
