Cambodia is currently building infrastructure across the country

Phnom Penh: Prime Minister Hun Sen said that at this time, Cambodia is building infrastructure across the country, while some countries are experiencing the destruction of infrastructure.

Prime Minister said this at the inauguration ceremony of the Chom Chao flyover and subway Thursday, 31 March 2022.

He also said that now is the time for Cambodia to build infrastructure across the country, while Ukraine is undergoing all kinds of infrastructure destruction.

He continued that starting from the peace in our country that we have worked hard for in the last 24 years. Cambodia has made great efforts to increase economic growth before the Covid-19 crisis, and Cambodia has an economic growth of more than 7%, which makes citizen’s economy better.

He said: "Only when there is a war do we see peace as valuable, while Cambodia has seen peace since 1970 [...] Without peace, do not talk about development, do not talk about human rights and democracy, now look at Ukraine, where is human rights? People are running into tunnels."
