Cambodian Representative Meets Serbian Chamber of Commerce to Introduce New Cambodian Trade Facilitation

Phnom Penh: Cambodia introduced to Serbian investors the benefits of investing in Cambodia under the program "Cambodia - New Destination for Business, Investment and Tourism" on the afternoon of 30 March 2022.

The meeting was videotaped by Secretary of State for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nhim Khemara, with the coordination of the Economic Diplomatic Coordination Team. The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia, the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce and representatives of the private sector of Cambodia and Serbia, a total of about 150 people.

This program is initiated in line with the Economic Diplomacy Strategy 2021-2023 of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, which focuses on promoting and promoting the Kingdom of Cambodia as a prominent destination in the region. Topics to be discussed include:

1) Cambodia's economic diplomacy strategy,

2) Dissemination of new investment laws and investment potential of Cambodia,

3) The promotion of tourism,

4) The situation and business opportunities in Cambodia.

It should be noted that the program "Cambodia - New Destination for Business, Investment and Tourism" took place at the same time as Cambodia and Serbia celebrated the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation hopes and believes that this program will serve as a new starting point in promoting economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries through the resumption of social Economy development after the Covid-19 crisis.
