PM Announces Trip to Sihanoukville During the Khmer New Year

KAMPONG SPEU: Prime Minister Hun Sen has announced that he will be making a three-day trip with his family to Sihanoukville during the 2022 Khmer New Year.

The Prime Minister made this announcement on Friday morning (25 March) while speaking at the inauguration ceremony of National Road No. 51, a 37.95 km long road connecting Udong of Kandal province (National Road Intersection 5) with Thnal Toteung Road of Kampong Speu province (National Road Intersection 4), which was built with funding provided by the Government of the People's Republic of China.

The Prime Minister said that he had gone to Angkor Sangkran during previous Khmer New Years, but this year he will visit Sihanoukville to bathe in the sea for three days.

In line with his announcement, the Prime Minister has also called on authorities at all levels to ensure that the festivities around the country can be carried out smoothly and with ease, and further instructed those in the field of tourism to be well organized during this time.
