Phnom Penh International Half Marathon Returns in June

PHNOM PENH: With the normal coming to effect in Cambodia Phnom Penh International Half Marathon is coming back and will be held in June.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, like most events around the world, it was put on hold.

For nine years, pre covid19 the Phnom Penh International Half Marathon Day has been a success and has received strong support from national and international athletes.

This Sport Tourism Event, which is organized in Phnom Penh Capital City, mainly aims to:

- Celebrate Royal Birthday of H.M Queen Mother

  Norodom Monineath Sihanouk.

- Promote Clean and Green City

- Charity Fundraising for Kantha Bopha Hospital.

- Promote Phnom Penh City as an attractive tourism site.

- Run to SEA Games 2023 in Cambodia

The 10th Phnom Penh International Half Marathon will be held on the 18th of June 2022. The starting and finishing place in front of the Royal Palace beside the famous Mekong river Phnom Penh

The courses are run the streets of Phnom Penh city which along the riverside and while part of the Royal Palace will be reserved for participants with the local authorities managing the roadways and intersections, runners are still urged to use caution while the course, as you will likely encounter some traffic and also enjoy to see the activities of local people doing in the morning time along the running course.

The top three finishers of the Half Marathon (21km) and 10km Race category will be received medals of winners 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. All prizes must be claimed on the day of the race, the organizers will mail any unclaimed prizes to runners failing to collect them on the race day.
