This was stated by Vath Chamroeun, Secretary-General of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia and Secretary-General of the National Committee of CAMSOC in charge of the SEA Games Mission before leaving for Vietnam on the evening of March 17, 2022, at Phnom Penh International Airport.

This important mission was led by Vath Chamroeun, Chief of Mission, Ouk Sithicheat, Director General of Sports and Secretary-General of CAMSOC, as well as the Chairman of some of the CAMSOC Expert Committee and some accompanying officials.

This is the last meeting of the 11 mission leaders of Southeast Asia. It will be held for three days (March 18-20) with a number of agendas to be discussed in detail before all countries send their athletes to compete at the SEA Games in Vietnam.

Vath Chamroeun emphasized that the delegation left for Vietnam to check the pre-arrangement of food, accommodation, transportation, hospitality, the management style of the host country, as well as to check the final presentation of the venue. This is a historical moment because this will be the largest team that the Cambodian team has participated in ever, with more than 500 people before the Kingdom of Cambodia achieves another history-in-the-making moment as the host of the 32nd SEA Games 2023.

The mission chief added that the meeting also focused on bringing the final list of the delegation of more than 500 Cambodian athletes to the Vietnam SEA Games Commission. During the three-day meeting, there will also be a special meeting between CAMSOC and the Vietnam SEA Games Committee to discuss cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia at the SEA Games on how Vietnam can help in areas such as technology training or experiences that the host of the 2023 SEA Games, Cambodia may request.

A high-level delegation from the CAMSOC National Committee, led by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense, and Chairman of the CAMSOC, Tea Banh, accompanied by Dr. Thong Khon, to receive the SEA Games flag from the Vietnamese host, as Cambodia prepares to be the next host of 2023 SEA Games, On May 23, 2022, the closing day of the official SEA Games of Vietnam.
