Preah Sihanouk Provincial Armed Forces Sends Vietnamese and Cambodians Involved in Drug Crimes to Provincial Court

Sihanoukville: According to Brigadier General Long Kim Hour of the Anti-Drug Office of the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Gendarmerie, three suspects (two females) were charged and sent to the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Court on Wednesday morning (16 March) in connection to a case of trafficking and illegal drug storage, amounting to nearly half a kilo.

He affirmed that the suspects sent to court were a 37-year-old Vietnamese woman who sells Khmer noodles, a 40-year-old Cambodian woman and a 49-year-old Vietnamese man who does not have a proper occupation. The three suspects were arrested at 14:40 on 13 March 2022 at Village 05, Sangkat 4, Sihanoukville, Preah Sihanouk Province.

After the arrest, the police confiscated 47 packages of white powder weighing 484.89 grams, one cigarette case, four mobile phones, one measuring scale, one motorbike, 480 dollars and some drug packaging bags.

Currently, these three suspects, together with the evidence, were sent by the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Gendarmerie to the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Court on Wednesday morning, and are waiting for the next legal proceedings.
