Kiet Chantharith Chairs Quarterly Meeting Achieving More Important Results

PHNOM PENH: The Table Tennis Federation of Cambodia held its first quarterly meeting on the evening of March 16, 2022, at the headquarters of the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia in the presence of General Kiet Chantharith, President of the Federation, with significant results.

Mr. Sun Sothearith, Secretary-General of the Table Tennis Federation of Cambodia, said after the meeting that was focused on three main agendas: 1. A review of past work reports and plans to bring a Korean coach to train the Cambodian national table tennis team in purpose to sharpen their skills for the 32nd SEA Games 2023. At the same time, the federation has agreed to set up a voluntary fund to raise funds from the Executive Committee in order to better serve the development of its table tennis sports.

The Secretary-General stated that with the goal of participating in the 31st SEA Games in May 2022 in Vietnam, General Kiet Chantharith, President of the Federation, together with the Vice Presidents, all agreed to encourage the national team. Winning one match in the individual game will receive $ 200 incentives, winning two matches of $ 400 and multiplying by winning each match. In the team game, if you win one match, you will get $ 1,000, if you win two matches, you will get $ 3,000, and if you win again, you will get double, and if you win a gold medal, the federation will give you $ 10,000.

Mr. Sun Sothearith considered that this is a precious encouragement from the President and all members of the Executive Committee of the Federation to strive and to develop the field of table tennis in Cambodia, heading towards the goal of the 2022 SEA Games, especially being ready during the hosting of the SEA Games 2023.

By encouraging the Cambodian national table tennis team to do their best to compete with good results for the nation. "This is a new achievement from the Volunteer Fund, with a monthly aid of US $ 2,000 and another aid of $ 1,000 from the President to be used towards helping the athletes to gain higher standards and be ready for the 2023 SEA Games held in Cambodia."
