Ministry of Information suspends licenses to 3 media outlets for violating professional ethics

Phnom Penh: Bayongtimes Press, which has www.bayongtimes.com, KCTV, www.khmerovertv.com, and Cambodia Daily, www.cambodiatoday.news has been suspended by the Ministry of Information.

In a letter dated 15 March, the Ministry of Information stated that the license was revoked because the Legislative Committee of the Ministry of Information had examined and found that the three units had disseminated information that violated journalism ethics and business contracts. Which the applicant has kept at the Ministry of Information.

The Ministry of Information also informed the directors of the 25 capital-provincial information departments not to allow the licenses of the three media units to be renewed.
