Ministry of Education Organizes Japan-Cambodia Kizuna Festival 2022 to Promote Traditional Culture Between the Two Countries

PHNOM PENH: The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports has organized the Japan-Cambodia Kizuna Festival 2022 under the theme "Kizuna is always with you" to show the liveliness in promoting the traditional and modern culture of Japan and Cambodia.

The Kizuna Festival 2022 will be held for three days from 17-20 February 2022, with the opening ceremony being held in the presence of the Minister of Education, Hang Chuon Naron, and the Ambassador of Japan to the Kingdom of Cambodia, Mikami Masahiro.

The Minister of Education, Youth and Sports said that due to the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic, the festival is organized in various forms, both physically and virtually, in order to show the vitality in promoting the traditional and modern culture of Japan-Cambodia that has existed for a long time.

The Kizuna Festival has been held annually since 2012, but was interrupted for two years by Covid-19. The Japan-Cambodia Kizuna Festival 2022 showcases the strength of the friendship between the Cambodian people and the people of Japan. This festival is also a testament to the good and deep cooperation in the field of culture and education between the two countries in the past, present and future.
