BREAKING NEWS: Khuon Sodary Becomes First Woman President of National Assembly

PHNOM PENH: The 7th National Assembly convened for its second meeting on the morning of August 22, where its new President Kuon Sodary was officially appointed. Cheam Yeap was named as First Vice President while Vong Soth was designated Second Vice President.

On the same vote was Prime Minister Hun Manet’s new Council of Ministers which received 123 out of 125 votes, with two members being absent.

This afternoon, Prime Minister Hun Manet will accompany his cabinet to take the oath of office at the Royal Palace.
